How to Download Your Trademark Certificate from IP India
- Go to ipindiaonline.gov.in
- Login with your applicant credentials (or use your attorney's login)
- Navigate to My Applications or Status of Application
- Search your application number
- When status shows Registered, a download link for the certificate appears
- Click Download Certificate — the PDF is digitally signed by the Registrar
- Save the PDF immediately — keep both digital and printed copies
How to Verify a Trademark Registration Certificate
- Go to ipindiaonline.gov.in → Trademark → Status of Application
- Enter the Registration Number from the certificate
- Confirm that: (a) the mark matches, (b) the proprietor name matches, (c) status shows 'Registered', (d) valid until date matches the certificate

When will I receive my trademark registration certificate in India?
Typically 18–24 months after filing for a smooth application. You cannot predict the exact date — check your IP India application status periodically. When it changes to 'Registered', your certificate is available for download.
Is the trademark certificate available online or sent by post?
The registration certificate is available as a downloadable PDF from the IP India portal. IP India does NOT send physical certificates by post as standard practice. Download and save the digital certificate as soon as status changes to 'Registered'.
My trademark shows 'Registered' on IP India but I can't find the certificate. What do I do?
Login to your IP India account and check under 'My Applications'. If you filed through an attorney, contact them to download and share the certificate. If the status shows Registered but no download is available, contact IP India helpdesk at ipindiahelp@nic.in.
Does the trademark certificate need to be renewed?
Your trademark registration is valid for 10 years from the filing date (not registration date). Before expiry, file for renewal (Form TM-R, ₹9,000 per class). A new certificate is issued post-renewal. Renewal can be done from 6 months before expiry.
